Love this photographer. She did an amazing job wrangling in the guys of Shaper Studios for a photo shoot for Riviera Magazine. And she even managed to get my dog into one of the shots! :)
I surprised Jason with a cooking class on Sunday night at Hipcooks in North Park, San Diego. We made 4 delicious pastas, hand-rolling the dough ourselves and using a fancy Kitchen-Aid to make perfect pastas. Here’s what we cooked up:
We had a lot of fun at this class and my favorite part (of course) was the multiple tastings and wine pairings. My inner Sicilian makes me want to swear away store-bought pasta and make it myself everytime. That is probably not happening anytime soon though.
Definitely recommend checking out a Hipcooks class if you’re in the San Diego area. And here’s a really cool guide to some local San diego spots to get the best supplies and ingredients for cooking at home.

The weekend according to my iPhone.
1. Walkabout in South Park; stumbled upon the Therapie Boutique Fashion Truck
2. Hunger Games Opening Night at Cinepolis La Costa
3. Brunch with Boogie at Daybreak Cafe in Ocean Beach
4. A winter/spring sunset at Sunset Cliffs Park

the shaper studios boys, chris, kory, mike, derrik, and I took a nice little surfing vacay down to mainland mexico. Not only did they encounter outrageous amounts of fun and adventures, but they scored incredible surf.
Scoring a roundtrip ticket…
Heard this song during my run this morning and was reminded of how much I loved it a few years back. And now it kinda relates to my life, working from home and all. NOFX is playing tonight and tomorrow in San Diego and I’d love to check them out and relive the days of years past….
Had the pleasure of attending TEDx San Diego this past weekend. The video highlights from this year’s event is not up yet, but here’s a great video from the SF TEDx that we watched at the conference. I can’t think of a more inspiring, beautiful video about the power of nature.
